About the Producer

Born in 2014, Congaree and Penn has grown from a vacant 200 acres to a flourishing farm.  Farmer Scott Meyer graduated from the University of Miami with a Master's degree in aquaculture.  He and his wife Lindsay moved back home to Jacksonville. With the land that was formerly his father's tree nursery, Scott put on his creative cap and decided that with its thick clay soil and marshy habitat, rice would thrive on thive in northeast Florida.
